groupgris is an Orion Bouvier’s project. Started in 1999 it is the fruit of his passionate love for music,and his personal, curious and determinate practice since the last 10 years which lead him to trash and noise then electronic. Really conquered by the possibilities of analysis and digital synthesis, he applies himself to torture the sound matter of our musical references, with either pure synthesis or sampling, with humoristic, ironic and caustic sadism, which hides, in fact, an unyielding sincerity and a skin-deep sensitivity. Personal, elusive, in a class of his own, at ease with experimental music as well as in raw “dancefloor”, he perpetuates through his own work (and his label wwilko) a certain alternative spirit, choosing the biting casualness, freedom and “cojones” to assume radical musical choices in a soft belly French electronic scene.
