Effervescence is a record label based in Nantes (F). They started in 2000 with a strong "DIY" policy, doing handmade cdrs, paper manifests... Now properly distributed in france, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Canada and Japan, the label releases proper cds & also 7"es.
Effervescence is not a label to put in a case, it goes from indie pop to electronica, from folk to math rock, and they represent instrumental projects as well as proper songwriters.

The skeleton of 'A ship…' definitely is the clear acoustic guitar and thomas' voice. This guitar and voice are blended, as the album gets unfolded, with other acoustic instruments filtered by electronic devices, with statics or film extracts. Can we really make up our minds about the quality of a song, of an artist in 30 seconds? What is the meaning of that duration: a simple technical agreement? a legal constraint? or the conviction that after 30 seconds people simply don’t listen anymore?
Though it seems impossible to appreciate music in that kind of way, this duration may also lead the consumers to a new form of listening. We suggest a reversal of this commercial oddity. Herzfeld came into being as the paths of Vergo Records and Antimatiere (two record labels from Strasbourg, France) came to cross. It was born of a desire to play, record and release beautiful records while sharing experiences linked to music. Herzfeld's two firsts releases are now available on AS Corpus Online Shop.
T's aerial music reveals itself through hypnotizing melodies, spacious arrangements, layered vocals and arranged rhythms while LAUTER oscillates between the emotional heat of rural folk and the coldness of an unconcerned urban punk rock.

 Tidying up the basement of our office we found a box of ENCRE's "Marbres ep". Unavailable for a long time this record contains a short version of "Marbres", a solo acoustic guitar piece entitled "Toumani Diabate" (a tribute to the famous Malian Kora player) as well as two tracks recorded live during Nantes’ Oblique Lu Nights festival in 2002. This record will NOT be re-pressed and these are the few last copies... Act fast, they will soon be gone!
