Insatiable experimentalist, MJC a.k.a Damien Mingus is not just another gifted platinist, like his pairs Otomo Yoshihide and Philip Jeck - as he likes to integrate in his hybrid works (half experimental, half-pop) just anything he feels like to, be it a field recording or some software manipulations, his own instruments (a guitar, a xylophone), lo-fi strings or ghost-like voices, which he gathers together and assembles in a semi-erratic manner, into dense and onirical layers of sound, full of sweetness and melancholy. This debut record is all that at once.
