| PAPIER TIGRE is 3 piece rock band with Eric Pasquereau, Arthur de la Grandiere and Pierre Antoine Parois They've learned how to play music together and have done several projects together (the band Seymour for example, the song 'In a hospital shape' on Effervescence Manifeste) and with other people (Room204, The patriotic sunday, Argument). Then have finally found the opportunity to get together on this project. The music turns around a subtil equilibrium due to the fact that there is no bass. Hard pounding drums and heart felt vocals lead the way as the two guitars create landscapes. The urgent but not lost feel reminds us of bands like Fugazi or Q and Not U, the loose tensions could recall June of 44, not to forget it's powerful edge soundwise and lyricwise that somewhat resemble to works of The Ex. They digged up all the energy and took their past experiences into making this first record a new significant voice. The 8-song debut record by PAPIER TIGRE mixed by the band and the sound engineer, Miguel Constantino (already in charge of many records like The patriotic sunday, Fordamage, Passe Montagne, This Melodramatic Sauna...as well as his own solo project audiopixel) is out now on Collectif Effervescence! |
