This Melodramatic Sauna could be the name of a scene steered by Hitchcock… Here the director is Jonathan Seilman, the movie is the music, and the stories are told by a fragile breath…
" …et les fleurs éclosent à l'ombre" is the first official release of This Melodramatic Sauna in which we are told stories full of poetry and melancholy... Recorded throughout 2005 by Miguel Constantino (The Patriotic Sunday, my name is nobody, Audiopixel), This Melodramatic Sauna's album came to life in a small chapel in Brittany. Confined for several days in this unusual place, "... et les fleurs éclosent à l'ombre" is at once austere and warm, where Jonathan seems to be at our sides, murmuring slowly in our ears, accompanied by the birds of the surrounding country… His music oscillates between peaceful and tormented movements, orchestrated then suddenly minimalist. Supported by a group of musicians on drums, piano, organ, xylophone, theremin, and a string quartet led by Erwan Fauchard, « …et les fleurs éclosent à l'ombre » is a journey, an enigma, a mysterious place where the mist embraces you …
